X-MESH™ Expandable Cage System

The X-MESH™ Expandable Cage System is an innovative thoracolumbar corpectomy solution that combines ease of use with a revolutionary new approach-specific implant design system.

IMPLANTS

The cage comes in three approach-specific shapes for the Anterolateral, Direct Anterior and Posterior approaches.

The X-MESH™ Expandable Cage features an open architecture designed to allow bony ingrowth. Each cage comes fully assembled with rough, convex endplates containing spikes for a good fit and to prevent cage migration. The endplate spikes are 2.5 mm high. The cage also contains side slots and large graft windows for graft material.

FOOTPRINT SIZES

The cages come in three footprint dimensions: Small (16x20mm), Medium (20x23mm), and Large (24x30mm).

The X-MESH System also provides eight cage height options. The small footprint cages range in height from 22-71mm, medium cages range from 22-110 and the large footprint cages are available in heights ranging from 28-110mm.

The direct anterior cage features a graft window oriented so that it can be filled from an ALIF approach and an attachment offset by 45 degrees that allows it to be implanted while avoiding important vasculature. The posterior cage features endplates with a lower profile than the anterolateral cage to avoid impact on the spinal cord during implantation.

HEIGHT OPTIONS

A broad range of lordosis and kyphosis options are also offered for each implant including angles ranging from 6 degrees of kyphosis to 24 degrees of lordosis. For kyphotic implants, kyphosis is applied to the superior endplate of the implant. For lordotic implants, lordosis is applied to the inferior endplate of the implant.
