INTRODUCTORY TRAINING

Designed for spine surgeons with little or no experience with MIS surgery in the lumbar spine who have an interest in adding MIS techniques to their armamentarium. The agenda includes a full day of hands-on training supplemented by lectures from an experienced surgeon faculty.

ADVANCED TRAINING


Designed for surgeons experienced with MIS procedures who want to learn new MIS techniques and advance their expertise in this area. The agenda includes case presentations and discussion, hands-on training, and lectures given by an experienced surgeon faculty.

TUTORIAL


The Advanced MIS Tutorial program offers surgeons a unique opportunity to visit thought leaders in minimally invasive spine surgery. A one-and-a-half day visitation included a group dinner with the host surgeon(s), live surgery observation, and a hands-on cadaveric bioskills lab.

The tutorial program is designed for the experienced spine surgeon who has met some or all of the following criteria:

  • Attended an Introduction to MIS program
  • 1+ years experience or 25+ cases/year using percutaneous screw placement
  • 1+ years experience or 50+ cases/year on MIS microdiscs or fusions
  • Practice is in part dedicated to treating complex spine
  • Stated interest in treating complex spine through MIS approach
  • Interested in the expanding indications of MIS within their practice
